Willow Farm

In June of 2009 we finally purchased a farmhouse on 4 acres. We looked for almost 3 years before finally finding a home that was close to work and didnt need alot of repairs. Before moving here we rented a farmhouse for almost 10 years. It was a huge drafty old house but I loved it there.
It had a yard full of trees. The first year we were there I planted a WeepingWillow Tree.As a kid I always dreamed of owning a home with a big willow tree in the yard . When It was planted it was just a tiny little stick
It grew so fast that our landlord said that we must have planted it where there was an underground spring

It was so beautiful all grown up

. Sadly our landlord passed away and a new owner took over. They didnt have any appreciation for nature and decided to cut down so many trees while we were moving and after we were gone. My Beautiful Willow was cut to the ground along with a grove of apple trees and 100 year old roses. So sad for someone like me who loved those trees for so many years.

When we finally got settled in our new home and had our first spring I planted not one but Three Willow Trees in our pasture.I cant wait til they are tall enough to sit under and read a book or take a nap.
I plan on planting some more this year to form a circle of Willow trees in our open pasture.
Thats how our farm got its name. I guess right now Little Willow Farm is more fitting. It is such a great feeling to know that no one can harm these trees here. They will be able to grow up and will be well loved by me and the wildlife.

Welcome to Willow Farm
