Meet Sassafrass!
Such a long name for such a little guy but it just seems to fit his personality. He is one of those rare kitty cats that loves attention. Hard to believe that someone dumped him and his siblings off in the middle of the night. I think he is happy here at his new home and we are happy he found us.
THE END!
What a face!! :)

Birds of Yellow....Well Hello!
The goldfinches are back on our farm. I love to watch them eat at the thistle feeder. They have such a happy song you can't not smile when you hear it. One of the many birds I look forward to seeing every year. Wouldnt feel like summer without them. I also leave some of that pesky thistle in the garden just for them because I know how much they love it. We also have a few purple finches too!
In Love With A Tree ??
This is the first year I have been able to see our crabapple tree all in bloom!! Im not sure what type it is as it was planted before we purchased our farm but boy is it beautiful!! I wonder if the person who planted it had dreams of what it would look like someday when it was grown up . I wonder if they planned for it to be seen perfectly from the kitchen window. I wonder if they knew how many bees would be stealing that sweet pollen and I wonder if they knew just how absolutely gorgeous its pink flowers would look against the backdrop of the bright blue sky. I wonder if they meant to plant it so that the front porch almost makes a perfect frame for it when you are relaxing there.I wonder if they loved trees as much as I do and if they also layed in the grass underneath it and breathed in its intoxicating scent. To whomever you are I can"t thank you enough for choosing such a beautiful tree. I think Im in love with it....

Ghost Of A Garden
I love photos. Such a great way to remember times in your life. I was smart enough to document all my hard work over the years at our rented farmhouse. Im so greatful now to be able to look back at these photos and still feel the happiness that my little garden brought to me over the years. Even though we didnt own the house where this garden was planted I didnt let that stop me from doing what I love. I just made sure to do things in a way where everything would be removable being that I wished for my own farmhouse someday. This garden is now a ghost, just a memory as it was lovingly dug up and transplanted to my parents garden a year before we finally bought our own home. As I find myself now starting a new garden I cant help but think of my very first flower bed and how over the years it kept growing . If you are a fellow gardener then you will know exactly what I mean . My little garden taught me so much over the years and provided me with endless hours of relaxation . I hope to be able to have that again someday and this time it will be forever.

Strawberry Pie..So easy and delicious
I think that strawberry pie is my absolute favorite pie ever. It is so simple to make and everyone loves it.
Its even better if you have fresh stawberries picked right out of your garden. Its still to early here for berries so I had to use store bought but its still yummy.
